At what age do we increase to more than 4v4. This small game soccer is fine for one season but the kids fail to get much out of it after that. Maybe it’s just because I have had the same kids for 3 seasons now, but 5v5 or 6v6 would allow them to learn a lot more about the game. They are getting stuck in a rut by playing this “beehive” style soccer and I’m afraid they will lose interest.
At U7 teams progress to 5v5 and in U8 6v6 with goalkeepers. The Dearborn Soccer Club sponsors “Soccer Skills” Training Sessions at Crowley Park held on the following Fridays:
September 12, 19 & 16; October 3 & 10
Boys and Girls 5-6 years of age: 5:15-6:30pm
Boys and Girls 7-12 years of age: 6:15-8:00pm
